English language training
Annie Malcolm of wordwork is a highly qualified tutor, trainer and assessor of English language learners. Annie specialises in teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) in universities, and Business English language skills online to clients across Europe, as well as face-to-face in Aberdeen.
Combining her background in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) qualifications with specialist EAP training, Annie has worked as an EAP tutor in universities in the UK and overseas, including three years in Ningbo in China.
Online English language teaching (both individually and in groups) is a fast-growing sector of the training market due to its flexibility and suitability for home or workplace study. Annie teaches online students (mainly business people) in many different countries, particularly France, Germany and Italy.
International corporate communications
In particular, Annie has expertise in teaching English language skills to international corporate communications executives. This allows her to combine her language training skills with first-hand expertise in composing and structuring press releases and other PR documents.
As well as training academic students and business people in English language proficiency, Annie is also a qualified examiner in IELTS (International English Language Testing System), an internationally recognised grading system for assessing proficiency in the four main English language skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening
Annie Malcolm has an MA Honours degree from the University of Aberdeen, a Masters in TESOL from Sheffield Hallam University and a Diploma in TESOL from Trinity College, London.
